career as filmmaking/actress

Be inspired.
for the world is indeed among change.
Be still in yourself, find your happiness
and make time to engage and be part of the change going on in the world around you.

Artists seek to involve the audience's emotions, imagination and intellect directly

Art differs from life by stripping away irrelevant details and organizing events so that they compose a connected pattern.
Thus, a play illuminates and comments on human experience even as it creates it.
a way of knowing and understanding.

How can imagined stories be ways of knowing and understanding?...the key is offered by shakespeare in As You Like it (11, 7): "All the world's a stage, /And all the men and women merely players."
Not only does this speech state that we may think of the world as a stage upon which each person plays a role, but conversely, that the stage is a symbolization of the world where we can see reflected the patterns of human behaviour.

Art lifts us above the everyday fray and gives us something like a "gods eye" view of experience.
Some attributes of art: methods of discovering and presenting patterns that provide insights, perceptions and understanding about ourselves and our world,; art is one form of knowledge.
It is an imaginative reshaping of experience that operates directly on our senses..allowing us to be simultaneously at a distance from and involved in the experience so that we participate, gaining insights from it

Hamlet (111,2), "the purpose of playing,..is to hold...the mirror up to nature; to show virtue her own feature, scorn her own image, and the very age and body of the time his form and pressure."

To a certain degree all people are actors; they vary the roles they play (almost moment to moment) according to the people they encounter and their relationship to them (parent, priest, friend, lover, enemy) in doing so they utilize the same tools as the actor- voice, speech, movement, gesture, psychological motivation and the like

(theatre; as in life, episode us experienced, then its part of the past, within the memories of those who were present.
also the most objective of the arts...as in life, it is through listening and watching that we come to know characters both externally and internally. what we learn about their minds, personalities and motivations comes from what they say and do/ and what others say about them.

Theatre draws on all the arts; literature in script, painting, architecture and sculpture...
simultaneaous presence of live actors and spectators, the audience may choose to watch where they like
